Help with simple Z-Wave setup/questions

I want to have a very simple setup.

1 set of three way switch for a hall light
1 set of three way switch for an outlet
1 remote switch for another outlet

It would be cool if all the three way switches can control the hall light, outlet and another outlet via series of double clicks and triple clicks. I believe I saw this function on some ACT Homepro devices. I know I need a computer and a z-wave primary controller to add all the device together but after the initial setup, do I still need to have the primary controller connected or can the computer be in sleep and the switches will work themselves? This is the part that gets confusing. Thanks!

You don't need a computer, only the primary contoller. With what you are trying to accomplish the ACT devices are probably the way to go. A basic controller would be the ACT ZTH100. If you want to setup up the system with a PC, you can look at ThinkEssentials from ControlThink.
