You can delete the topic you started which will include everything and just rewrite it to a different section.

If "I" only has this one post, that pretty much rules out that he has a different one to move.

Here I can delete a topic I started.  Always have been able to do this.  It will delete all of the posts under first OP.
 
Guessing all users can do this to their own posts but not anyone else's post.
 
I've done this a few times here on the Cocoontech forum and the Homeseer forum for the topics that I have started.
 
I have run out of space for my blogs here and have removed some of the older blogs.  I also ran out of space relating to pictures posting in the forum so I upload the picture to the gallery and use a link here to post the picture.
