How to remove voice announcement from siren

When my M1G triggers, the siren rings. But after a 5 second blast, the siren stops and I get a pause and then an automated recording saying something like "The alarm has been triggered. The authorities will be notified. Leave immediately. etc" (I don't remember the exact wording offhand).

Is there a way to either:
  1. disable the announcement completely,
  2. start the announcement much later (ie: after 30 or 45 secs and not only 5 secs)
  3. continue the siren while the announcement plays
  4. make the announcement (and dead delays) shorter
Thanks!

Eric

1. Can be done via rules or removing descriptors in RP.

2. No, unless you put delays in the voice descriptors via RP.

3. No, single audio generator/amp on the M1.

4. Depends on how you set it up via RP.

Can you elaborate please? What do you mean by removing descriptors in RP? Which descriptors must be removed, and where?

Won't that just generate dead-air while the audio generator plays a "delay"?

4. Depends on how you set it up via RP.

Can you please point me to the correct place in RP where to set it up? I have been unable to find the option anywhere.

Thanks,

Eric

Look at the Voice section in RP. Much is contained there.

I'm not following what your requirement for delay or silence is, but if you put silence in, you can get some sort of delay.

If you don't want the voice, why not disable the alarm announcement function and connect a siren or similar to out 2 and use that unit's delay functions in Globals?
