In Need of a Digital Input/Output, E-Net Controlled, Pwd Protected Device

Fellow Cocooners;

I'm in need of a simple, inexpensive device that has (at a minimum) two digital inputs, one digital output (prefer NO contacts), Ethernet controlled, Password Protected, 12 volt (max) powered, operable in 120 deg F environment device for a work application.

Cost is a large factor (cheap customer) ;)

I know these exist and would like recommendations from our knowledgeable membership.

Thanks and regards,

BSR

I've used the EIO Board in the past (a hobby board) and it worked well and was inexpensive. From the posting on the supplier's site, it appears it may be difficult to get one nowadays.

I know of another device but can't recall its name ... I'll try to find it tomorrow.

While no single unit does what you want you may want to take note of these for the furture:

I have used them and they work well. One nice feature that I used was the ability of the temperature module to send commands to the relay module based on temperature triggers.

Thanks all for the great replies!

Frederick, those ControlbyWeb products look perfect for my application and I can get all my needed specs in one unit for $155 using model X-WR-2R1-2I24-I.

I like the control software that comes included with the unit.

One question though since you have used these, they list the current draw as 394mA Max. Do you happen to know the 'typical' draw? Reason I ask is I'm going to power this unit via a very small solar panel/charge controller system. Not a big deal though and I can always call the manufacturer. Only one relay would only be pulsed for one second less than ten times per day over a four day work week (the other relay would not be used).

Thanks again everyone for the great information! It's very nice to be able to get great advice like this from the membership! ;)

Looks like Frederick's tip is the winner. But, as promised yesterday, here's the gadget we (the company I work for) used after the supply of EIO boards dried up:
Aviosys IP Power 9212
8 inputs, 8 outputs (dry or wet), TCP/IP, RS-232, SNMP, HTTP, DHCP, internal timer, SDK, etc (a little powerhouse of a device).

It used to be available from geeks.com for about $120 but I don't see it listed anymore. Most of the search-results now point to suppliers in the UK. DigiDave lists the specs, a few videos of how to use the device, and a link to the product's manual.

If I wasn't using my ELK M1 for I/O, I'd have this gadget at home.
