MIKP2 Keypad

Can the KP2 be assigned more than 1 area? If not, then how can I get RM to see both and allow all access without adding a second keypad?

You have more than one area but only one physical keypad? Interesting.

I don't believe it is possible to enroll a keypad into multiple areas.

I'm not familiar with RM but the M1XEP card offers a "virtual keypad" that permits selection of a desired area.

Spanky will slap me if I'm wrong. A real keypad (KP1, KP2, or KP3) can only be mapped to one area and each area needs at least one real keypad. ELKRM can mimic any of the real keypads just as the ELKTS07 can. A real keypad can be temporarily mapped to another area for arming, disarming purposes but then reverts back to its assigned area, so long as you have access code privileges for that area. You can make all areas common to area 1 so an area other than area 1 keypad will disarm area 1. Sorry, I'm not at my home computer so this is from memory.

Slap!! ;)

Turn on the "Area Name" Display on the keypad. ie. Area names must be displayed.

Now after pressing the "ELK" key, you have access to submenu "0".

In submenu "0", you can change the area that the keypad responds to and also arm/disarm any area in the M1 system.
