Nextalarm and 120 zones

About a year ago I setup my elkm1 on Nextalarm for non dispatch monitoring. I didn't have to talk to anyone to get it all setup and it's been working great. The only problem I have is that their website only lets me enter 70 something of my 120+ zones.

I decided last month to switch to a paid dispatch plan so I emailed nextalarm and asked how I could get all of my zones added. They replied a few days later saying I should email them with my zone list. I did that and never heard back.

I emailed back the list again and they replied a few days later saying the zones would be added that day. It's now been a month since my first email and still nothing has happened.

So my question for you nextalarm owners is.... is this normal for their support to be so unresponsive? Maybe it's just really difficult for them to add more than 70 zones.

I'm baffled.

Are there any other alarm monitoring companies out there for roughly the same money?

I had a similiar situation with a new "self installed" panel.

Initially called a "service rep" and got basically "deer in the headlights" responses to my questions which basically were already on the web site.

I completed configuration and setup on line - smooth installation.

Tested installation and again that went well.

Testing installation about 1 month later and again it went well.

I assumed that I would get stickers and yard signs based on the information on the web site. Nothing came. I wrote and recieved an answer within a day that the signs were on the way. Nothing came.

I wrote and this time opened a ticket. The ticket again was acknowledged immediately. Simple request: "where are my signs?". Nothing came.

Finally called support and sent another email - I was polite and asked again for the signs and finally they came - 2 months after initial start of service.

So wondering same question?

The only problem I had with NextAlarm was the sign thing. I had to call twice, but they did send them.

The functionality with NextAlarm is excellent. I love the SMS notifications. I have been able to react to false alarms (caused by the wife or the nanny, not NextAlarm's fault) quickly because of this and have avoided the police / fire dept showing up. In my neck of the woods, you only get a couple false alarms before the cops start charging like $200-$300 per visit.

It is also great to know (while I am away) when the nanny is coming and going.

All in all, I would not hesitate to use NextAlarm again.

I too have been having problems with nextalarms support

120 Plus zones sounds pretty extreme / not typical - commercial? A solution might be to partition your panel and create 2 Next Alarm accounts.
Do any other providers claim they can handle 120 zones I wonder.

I didnt realize the yard sign and window stickers was part of the deal.

I've been with them a year now..haven't really had any issues....there was some unexplained zones reported..but that turned out to be because i was using Vonnag VOIP without using their special ABN. I fought it thinking it was an issue on their side...but once i switched to POTS the issue never occured again. Support by e-mail was ok.

So just call or open a ticket to get the signs?
