Powering Up and Down OPII with Multiple Expansion Enclosures

I realize that this is most likely a very simple question, but for the life of me I cannot find any documentation as to how to properly power up and down an OPII with multiple expansion enclosures.  My current set-up which I am nearing completion on has the following:

*  OPII Main Board with two backup batteries
*  HAI PowerHub with two backup batteries
*  Altronix Power Distribution Enclosure with two backup batteries
*  3 Expansion Enclosures (two remotely located in other buildings) with two backup batteries each

What would be the appropriate process and sequence to power this setup up and down the for alterations and maintenance?

Thank you for your help!

I may be wrong but I don't think there is a set priority.
I take my main board or expansion enclosure off line as I need to make changes without powering down the other one.

I assume there is a notification protocol on the RS-485 link among the modules when they power up.  It's definitely two way.
Anything connected to the Omni serial ports should probably be powered up after the main board.

It may make the most sense to power up the main board first so that it properly updates statuses of other modules as they power up, but I have never had any problem with this except when I wipe the main board firmware and everything resets.

Desert_AIP, when you shut the main board down, do you turn off the AC and then unplug the batteries or is there a shutdown command of some sort?

I unplug the batteries, then unplug the transformer.
When restarting I plug in the batteries first, then plug in the transformer.

That is the order of operations in the manual.

If the board is unpowered, plugging in the batteries will not start it.
It will wait for A/C power to boot up.
Once powered up, if the A/C is interrupted, the batteries will continue to power (obvious).

I usually remove the hot side of the battery terminals if I am making a quick change.
If I will be playing with it for a longer period, I remove both terminals as insurance.

There is no shutdown command.
