Hello All.
My Logitech Harmony Universal Remote took its last fall unfortunately, and now Im in the market for a new RC.
While Im at it, i want to get a remote that has the capabilities for communicating to my existing HAI Omni2e controller.

I would like certain lights to go on/off depending when the TV is on / control my AV Receivers outputs during 'party mode' type of thing.

The Pro24.r remote from Procontrol has a 'base station' with a ethernet port, and Im wondering if this can communicate with the HAI?
I hope there are some feasible options.

Cheers,,

I am almost sure it won't, but there are devices out there that can receive IR and send out commands via UPB. HAI's own room controllers are one, and there is a company out there that sells an IR to UPB receiver. You can then tell the Omni to perform certain tasks depending on what IR command was received.

Thanks for the input neillt. :)

My issue is that I am limited by local suppliers. I dont mind importing the odd device ehre and there but that comes with limitations (mains supply voltages etc).

The logitech Harmony remote for example, I would have to import, but the procontrol remote i can get locally.  I wish i could get my hands on / preview the procontrol software to see what its all about.

Otherwise, i might just go for the Logitech again.  I know the logitech can send X10 commands, which will work for me as well.

UNLESS, the procontrol can also send out X10, and then I can get it to communicate to HAI via the X10.

WHAT TO DO! :)
