Bad analogies and pointless unrelated advice seem to go hand-in-hand on forums.
The only arguing is against insistence on something else. Especially without a greater understanding off all the issues involved. Had I wanted THAT conversation I would have asked for it. I didn't, I asked a pretty specific question.
Now, there's certainly room for helpful advice regarding tangential factors, no doubt. But at what point does arrogance of one's own opinions overwhelm being helpful?
