Okay, let me get it out in the open that I am a z-wave newbie.....please don't flame me for asking a dumb question.

I have read a lot about Charmed Quark, visited the site, and read just about ever posting I could find on it. With that said, here it goes.

How does the software, running on my home PC, connect or interact with my z-wave network?

Thank you!
Jason

There is a CQC Serial Driver written by Dean in C++. It's functionality is limited to only lighting control at this time. It does have the ability to poll the status of lighting device. The Z-Wave hardware interface is either the ACT USB or Serial interface or Intermatic USB stick. Which ever you use you must have the proper drivers so that the USB device shows up as a serial port in your computer. The proper drivers are provided in the online documentation for CQC which you can find here: http://www.charmedquark.com/Web/Learn/Devi...ting/Z-Wave.htm
