Hi,
Basically, An ex wiz-kid that never quite grew up!
Author of Adaptive Home Logic, electronics engineer, radio amateur, star trek fan, boat owner, etc.
Enthusiastic about computer since the late ‘70’s with the first home micros, Nascom II, UK101, Atari, Video Genie EG303, Sinclair, etc. (a most exciting time) and electronics, probably something to do star trek! I studied electronics at collage (analogue & digital) where I became very interested in computer control, designing several digital input / output boards.
This is where my home automation dream began (I guess trying to emulate the bridge of ST TNG) first in my bedroom and eventually within a fly-bridge motor yacht, my very own version of a ST shuttle craft! (I did say I never quite grew up!), which subsequently evolved to Adaptive Home Logic v2.
AHL2 developed from the realisation that there was not a general purpose automation application that was easy to use, yet highly flexible, designed for some of the more interesting aspects of HA, whilst being reliable. It was not designed to compete with Apple / Microsoft in the convergence of home media or even in the area of typical touch screen type automation, although it can assist in these areas, but more to easily interface almost anything into the wider home automation environment together with advanced feature for the computer control / home automation enthusiast.
I wish to make AHL2 very useful, so please keep me updated with your thoughts and wishes.
