A friend asked me about the SimpliSafe system. They're enamored of the wireless sensors, built-in cellular up-link, and email & SMS based alerting.
This looks like a low end consumer system and the negative posts almost all speak to the lack of reliability of the components.
Can anyone recommend a system with similar capabilities that's DIY, but perhaps uses higher grade components?
