Somfy Help

Hi all

Have 2 brand new units. I can move motor with limit setting toll but when I set up and lower limits and move switch to center position, the up and down buttons do nothing. The should move motor to upper and lower limit.

I have the motor plugged into AC power and limit setting till connected to supplied cable.

qor 506S2 ILT2 RH Intelligent Wired Technology B-4

Any suggestions

Thanks

Mark

It is not clear from your post what exactly is not working. My first guess is you may have not turned off the program mode, so the switch will not control the motor.

it wasn't in a tube so effectively I set the upper and lower limit to the same position (due to the way the encoder works, the motor must be in a tube to set limits)

If you set the upper and lower limits to the same position, how would it move?
Guessing you stated that wrong but if not, there's your problem.

i didn;t do it intentionally. If it's not in a tube and you set them, they get set to the same position because the encoder needs to the tube

Right, But if the limits are both set to the same place, there is no where for it to move.

Of course there isn't As I said, i had no idea it was setting the same upper and lower limit when the motor was not in a tube

You didn't say that.
