Standalone surge protection for cable & phone

Just curious to know if there is such a thing as standalone surge protection for phone and TV cable? I now have a Leviton can and all power goes inside. I have a fairly skinny powerbar which doesn't have built-in cable/phone protection. All the powerbars I have seen with cable/phone protection tend to be fairly large in size.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Telephone:

Non-Structured Wiring:
ELK-950 Single line, $28.50
ELK-955 Dual line, $39.93

Structured Wiring Mount:
C-0140 4 Line Protection, $29.99
P-0411 Whole House ADSL Filter + four line surge, $41.80

TV:

I need to dig a little more for a stand alone solution ...

I have a leviton whole house surge suppressor that has plug in modules for tele and cable . . model # 51120-PTC . . but don't see why you couldn't use them stand alone . .

check this page, near the bottom, 'bout $40 a peice . .

Just found out I do have an ELK phone surge, I bought it for the old house but we knew we were moving, didn't bother to install it and I forgot about it until I saw the link and checked the picture.

Checking out the link for Levition surge protection, what's the difference between these two:

http://www.hometech.com/power/surge.html

51110-PTC - Multimedia Surge Protector
51120-1 - Surge Protection Device

Does the 51120-1 give more protection over 51110? But 51110 comes with cable and phone modules built-in.

Thanks for your information.

not sure really, the -PTC is the same as the plain 51110 but w/ a duplex outlet for the tele/cable modules (elec specs listed on the linked page, but not for the tele/data modules, couldn't find specs for the -1 either) . . other than that the -1 can protect (2) cable lines, looks like the -PCT is more for the utility room and the -1 is more for a structured wiring panel . .

you could call Leviton's tech support line
