I have a few rooms that use switched outlets for lamps. I want to control these with UPB switches, but I'd rather not control the outlet.
I would like to have a UPB switch that controls a plug in lamp module. Will the UPB HAI switches send commands w/o having a load connected?
The idea, expensive as it is, would be to use a UPB switch w/o the load wire not connected and the UPB lamp module at the lamp.
I don't really want the complexity of wall controllers. I'd rather have a uniform look of switches.
Will this work? Are there cheaper or better alternatives?
