UPB Switches Flash rapidly

Six circuits that have UPB switches flash rapidly 6-10 times then go back to normal. I thought this might relate to overheating since smetimes it was after an hour or so after turning on. However, now it has also happened within seconds of turning on the switch. What are possible reasons for such flashing?

What are/is the manufacture and model switchs? Is there some type of universal controller or does upb work on it's own in your house?

I believe the are all PCS switches. I am certain about three that are 1500 watt dimmers. Two are installed alone in double gang boxes( the standard 1500 watt switches they replaced required double gang boxes and had larger heat sinks). The load on these two are rope llights of no more han 1200 watts, and were fine with te standard dimmer switches.
The third controls 975 watts of can lights and is installed in a signel gang box. UPB on its own - no controller.

I just talked to Jean at PCS (818-701-9831) to try to get an answer for you. She needed more info on the loads. Transformers, model#s. She suggested that you call them direct with more info.

What type of light bulbs? Incandescent? Low Voltage? Noise might be an issue here ...

Paul02 - this is a little older posting, but I'm not seeing that there has been any resolution to this. We have a user reporting a very similar problem. In this installation, there are multiple WebMountain 600W dimmers and they are working fine, but there are also about 6 higher wattage PCS dimmers. The PCS dimmers are exhibiting the problem - not the 600W dimmers. In this case, the PCS devices are Gen2 devices, while the 600W dimmers are Gen1. We tried an experiment wih the assistance of PCS and sent one 1500W device to the user that had been returned to Gen1 status. The results are confusing, but it appears that this device is not flashing anymore as you described.

We are still trying to resolve this and would appreciate any update, especially if you have been able to determine a resolution.

Thanks.
