Has anyone been able to do anything with the transport controls appearing on the "audio" screen of the OmniTouch7 - especially as relates to iTunes?
I have iTunes running on a dedicated Intel NUC that has a consumer infrared port on it and my thinking is that if I could somehow teach the OmniProII how to store and send IR commands, then maybe I could use the transport controls on the OT7 to at least play/stop and advance/rewind between tracks on the iTunes library that I could have running constantly into my HiFi2 system.
Has anyone done anything similar? Does the OmniProII even have the ability to store/use IR? Long ago, I integrated heavily with the JDS Stargate system that did have this capability, but I'm not even sure that HAI does it AT ALL...?
It would be nice to have the HAI iPod dock back, with cover art and metadata on the OT7... but I know (sadly) that will never, ever happen, given the 5+ year development cycles from HAI and the current state of things since Leviton...
