Using the LCD driver with OWFS?

Hi,

Just got the Hobby Boards LCD Driver & the 4x20 LCD. Pluging the 2 units together then attaching that to the Channel 1 (main) socket on my 6 channel hub the LCD "lights up".

Via OWFS (v 2.7p13) I can navigate to LCD_H.

I think I should then be able to do a crude test simply using
echo "test" > message

but if I do that I get a response:

echo: write error: invalid argument

Am I missing something obvious?

Solved!

I noticed that the latest version of OWFS was up to 2.7p20, so I installed that and echo "test" > message now results in text appearing on the lcd.
