Video Library Browser/Player for MTS (AVCHD) files

Hey all,

I have a canon AVCHD camcorder (hg10) to be specific.

From what I can tell, it creates a folder tree similar to BluRay discs. Meaning, it stores Clipinfo, Thumbnails, and the Stream(video files, aka, several for one large clip) in the standard AVCHD tree.

What I am having a problem with is setting up a library that can use all files. At best, I have found ways to play MTS files. But nothing simple that would alilow me to browse clipinfo available, or for instance, categorize them by dates, etc.

I know Canons response is just hook the cam up to the tv. Well, a 40gb hard drive was filled up about 1 month after my son was born. So that is just not practical.

I would love love love being able to put these on a media pc, as well as possibly categorize and import previous DVD's weve made (old camcorders), or create one large library.

My question may be a multi parter, but what are you guys doing to work with this? Is there any way AVCHD browsing can be brought on a windows platform?
