Warning! Comcast is now altering contact ID and SIA transmisions

Comcast is back to it's old April fools tricks by altering (lengthing) the rebroudcasting of the tones. This is causing bad signals to the CS and cause multiple transmissions while preventing the signals from getting through.
They claim that they are working on the problem....lol.
Even if you are using 4+2 format, signals maybe delayed due to the CS lines and recievers being backed up.
Call your CS and see if you can program 4+2 on the backup line of your alarm panels.
In the world of cable phones, this is going to be an on going issue.

Nothing new....if you're using a VOIP based solution to send DTMF, then it's always going to be an issue.

Either you don't connect to a VOIP based service or you use the alternatives. Should've always been that way since the infancy of the proliferation of  "digital voice" buzzword services.

Same goes if you connect a cellular "backup" to a VOIP based line and expect it to work properly.
