Where to get wire?

Ok, thought I could run to Home Depot to get 22-4 and 22-2 in red fire resistant and white regular. I was wrong can't get it there so where is the best place to get this wire?

I'll happily recommend keystone wire. They've got all of that. Note there are no prices on their website (prices change too often, appearantly), but if you submit one of those info requests, they respond via email real quick. I worked with Jim and was very pleased.

I will second Tri State Electronics as a good supplier, but shipping on wire can be expensive. I found a local electronics store in my area that specializes in selling equipment to installers. I can buy Belden, GRI, GE, and even Elk from this local shop. Check your yellow pages for an electronics supplier near you. Alternatively, check the Belden web page for dealers near you. You might be surprised by what is available locally.

P.S. There are different grades of wire. Some wire has an el cheapo jacket or insulation and can be difficult to work with. The Belden New Generation series is pretty nice.

I'll second Keystone, considering I originally recommended them  I use them because yes they are local to me, but they do offer free shipping on orders over $500 which is very easy to do on a pre-wire.
