Wiring for 33A00-4 Console

Hi,

It's great to have the new HAI support here. It's helped me decide to go with an OmniProII. We're in the process of prewiring and I'm planning on having four of the 33A00-4 keypads with the built in speaker/microphone. Will the single cat5e suffice, or do I need an additional 4 wire for the consoles? I can't find any documentation on this on HAIs website and haven't purchased the console yet.

If I need additional wiring, I assume I would need the two way voice kit as well?

Thanks for the help.

A single cat5e to each console will suffice. Four wire usually works with the consoles, but you need additional wires for the speaker and microphone in this particalar model.

You will need to purchase the two-way voice module if you wish to use the speakers and microphone in these consoles.

Prashant,

I just wanted to clarify Greer's response a little. You may use the cat5e cable to connect power, communications, and the speaker in the console, but you should use a shielded twisted pair cable for the microphone.

Thanks for the reply. We did just that this weekend.
