Wish me luck - just pulled the trigger on Elk M1G system purchase

I've been lurking and chatting here for a few months while I was fine tuning a large AO order. Just pulled the trigger for an Elk M1G with all the trimmings. I've deferred on some sensors like CO and Methane. I've also deferred on a replacement for an outdoor weatherproof keypad. I'll be installing SP12F speakers behind the KP2's around the house. For now, I've also deferred on some in-ceiling speakers and integration with other existing sounds systems. Also after lots of discussion and research, I've ordered GE 449CSTE smokes to replace my old ESL 2-wire smokes. And some folks here will be pleased that I'll using 18AWG FPL cable for new smoke (and probably CO) circuits.

FWIW, This is a replacement for an outdated Westec 5000 based system.
 
so ifI have a GE crystal wireless receiver already installed with some door & window sensors, and wish to add in this new 2 way capability to my existing M1G system, (I like the keyfob!) will it be ok to have BOTH installed?
 
Thanks for the encouragement. So far I have my existing Westec 5K panel temporarily moved out of the way (but still connected and operational). Plus I've cleaned up my cabling by adding a set of wire ducts. I should post a current photo..... All of my security, telephone, and network equipment is housed in a ~5'x~3'x~1' wiring closet. I've moved just about every piece of equipment to make room for the Elk install and clean up 18 years of haphazard installations.

Once I have the existing (hardwired) system cut-over to the M1G, my plan is to augment the system with a bunch of wireless and wired sensors. I'm Looking forward to new Elk offerings.
