Would telekinesis (Psychokinesis) be considered automation?

Psychokinesis (from Greek ψυχή "mind" + κίνησις "movement", or telekinesis (from τῆλε "far off" + κίνησις "movement"), is an alleged psychic ability allowing a person to influence a physical system without physical interaction.

Psychokinesis experiments have historically been criticized for lack of proper controls and repeatability.

There is no convincing evidence that psychokinesis is a real phenomenon.

Personally pragmatic such that I personally don't believe it unless see it and I never have seen it before.

I do enjoy many movies for their entertainment value.

I think though the remote automation via a cellular phone does provide a sense of power over matter for many folks these days. (IE: the selling of automation)

Just a movie trailer for Midnight Special (2016)

Yup; this kid in this movie other than having Psychokinesis talks to the cloud / radios  / satellite et al.

The IFTTT bridge is built in.

The human body nervous system is really just a collection of wires that transport electrical impulses.

NSA thinks he is weapon.  The religious group thinks he is their saviour.

The parents don't really know what he is until the end of the movie.

Back to the OP....

Would telekinesis (Psychokinesis) if it were proven to exist be considered automation?

Nope, manual intervention. It's no more automation than getting your kids to do something for you.

I stated earlier that I am pragmatic and do not really believe stuff until or if I see it.  It is years of a science education.

Like that sign above mentioning that if you believe in telekinesis raise my hand thing.  Thinking it was coined in the 1800's maybe by Mark Twain or later by Kurt Vonnegut.

A quote here by Kurt Vonnegut...

I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.

Technology though is moving really fast these days.

Yes many parents today basically just moving their fingers text or tell the Amazon Echo to tell their kids to get them to do something for them.  (or you can just gesture if you want to use your Microsoft Kinect)

IE: In 1969 Grandma didn't believe while watching folks walking on the moon that it was really happening.

Hundreds of years ago rubbing two sticks together to generate a flame would have been considered magic or somebody knowing of an eclipse of the sun beforehand and telling folks (who didn't know) about could have caused some havoc.

A video (some brevity) here relating to just the cell phone / smart phone; well not so much remote control automation.

I don't know about 'to fart around' but it's certainly up to the individual.

Human animals are just that, and it's taken me a lifetime to figure out.

I just wish this knowledge benefitted me in some way. I've discovered the reason for human existence! Hooray, me. I'll celebrate with another cup of coffee.

Human animals are just that,

There are benefits to knowing because you can sometimes just prevent stuff from occurring strictly based on your historical knowledge base of what you have in experience Neurorad.
