Elk M1G - Fast Loop Response vs Slow Loop Response

In Elk M1G, the "loop response" is the amount of time that a sensor must remain open for the system to recognize an activation. Default values are 40 ms for Fast Loop and 400 ms for Slow Loop. Is this to prevent bouncing contacts (or other sensor "stutter") from causing multiple trips?

For what sensors should I use Slow Loop? What sensors for Fast Loop? Right now, I have magnetic sensors on doors and windows, motion sensors, glass break and a relay to pick up trip of my 110 VAC smoke, CO and temperature rise sensors.

:hesaid:

Same here basically; I use it for doorbell and I did turn it on for a couple of doors which have lighting automation tied to them (ie door opens, light turns on) but I don't know how much difference it makes.
