I have an M1 Gold with the GE Wireless "Crystal" receiver (ELK-M1XRF). I was wondering if anyone has any experience installing a wireless carbon monoxide detector with the same setup.
There isn't a specific model listed in the Elk wireless receiver manual, but I am looking at this model:
GE NX-497 Crystal Carbon Monoxide Sensor
http://www.smarthome-products.com/p-1633-ge-nx-497-crystal-carbon-monoxide-sensor.aspx
My questions are:
1. Would that CO Sensor work with my Elk M1 just like other GE wireless devices (motion sensors etc)?
2. Is there a better option for a wireless sensor that would be better/cheaper?
Thanks for any info!
