Query String for UNV cameras through UNV NVR for PCA

Have 4 UNV cameras running through a UNV NVR. Ican pull them up on web browser, through the log in as admin page via my network IP. 192.168.1.xxx. Can not find query string to set in PC Access, their website lists strings for VLC and Quicktime, but nothing is working for PCaccess.
i have them set as
manufacturer: User defined
model: JPEG (and tried MJPEG)
address: ???
username: xxxxxx
password: xxxxxx
 
also TeleDoorBell will be my next issue i'm sure. but just these for now.

I assume you are using RTSP with VLC which of course does not work with PC Access and the OT7.   I looked to see if Uniview offered any info on their website but found none.
 
If a connection string is available that will work, it has to be JPEG/MJPEG and cannot use RTSP.  Ask the manufacturer if they offer single frame queries or continuous via http - something like http://Camera_IP_Address/mjpeg?cam=1 or http://Camera_IP_Address/mjpeg/video.cgi..... 
 
Otherwise you'll need to experiment with the existing camera URLs offered by PC Access or try some of those found at https://www.ispyconnect.com/man.aspx?n=china (Chinese camera connection strings).
 
ONVIF /  H.264 support would open the door for thousands of IP cameras to be compatible but alas this is not so.

Thank you for the response, it was helpful just for the insight, I received a response from the manufacturer giving me all the instruction required for setting the compression type to mjpeg and what the proper query string should be, problem now is making it work.
According to them the query string is; IP/video/mjpeg/stream1
i see no way this will work for a system with 4 cameras as there are no channel indicators aor ports in the string address but I also need a firmware update on the cameras so I'll start at that and see what I get.

Don't attempt multiple feeds from the NVR - use the IP's of the cameras. Keep in mind the video feed does not flow through the OP; it adds the connection string to the OT7 so the OT7 can make the connection directly to each camera, which means the cameras and OT7 need to be on the same accessible network(s).

 My explanation wasn't very good there I am trying to use each cameras individual IP address rather my point was the string they provided was the NVR address rather than the cameras individual ones, which I have from the NVR settings. i have all devices on the same network and appear to have the correct string from Uniview now, As in i can connect to the direct stream of the cameras feeds, but only when i directly wire the laptop into the NVR. If they are both to the router I have no luck pulling the direct stream, also the web browser tool for the NVR (admin login) doesn't display the live feeds either and asks me to install a plug in, the link doesn't take me anywhere and google searching it I've done every trick suggested by every youtube or forum post i can find, nothing is getting those cameras to show. My guess was its H.264 codec causing an issue, but even with the cameras set to MJPEG same issue persists. Hopefully I'm missing something obvious.
 
also, no OT7 installed but ipads with snaplink for viewing.
