Snaplink - Viewing iP Cameras

I have a Omnipro2 panel and I am having an issue adding any IP cameras to view using snaplink.

I did not have the HAI Camera Server or any HAI branded IP Camera.

I am using a Dahua IPC-HFW2100 IP Camera

I have set up the Sub-Stream on the camera to MJPEG (Main stream is H.264)

I have configured the following ports on the camera all for port forwarding and they all are open when tested;

TCP: Port 40000
UDP: Port 40001
RTSP: Port 40002
HTTP: Port 40003

IP address of camera is 192.168.1.230

I have set up a LOCAL account on my Snaplink software using iPhone (HAI Panel 192.168.1.90)

So I am trying all this on my local network.

The only Camera settings asked for in the Snaplink app are the following

Address
Username
Password
Camera Type

I have cycled thru all combinations with no success

Tried all these addresses each as MJPEG and JPEG
192.168.1.230:40000
192.168.1.230:40001
192.168.1.230:40002
192.168.1.230:40003

Has anyone had success using a generic IP Camera?

which port should work?
TCP: Port 40000
UDP: Port 40001
RTSP: Port 40002
HTTP: Port 40003

Thanks

I'm doing this with multiple generic IP (SD and HD) cameras via ZoneMinder (http://zoneminder.com) (http://zoneminder.com) using both Omnitouch 5.7e's and Snaplink.  Works well.

I just looked at my Snaplink URL's and they all go to the ZM box but are similiar to the PCA configuration utilized for the Omnitouch 5.7e's.  Have you tried a simple iPhone direct safari link to your IP camera? and did it work?  I do not utilize an iPhone.

I know the above statement doesn't really help you much with your particular endeavor. You can maybe try a free wintel webcam proxy to test.

That said each unique IP OS camera stuff is configured on the ZM box.  The configuration to see each stream on the ZM box is identical no matter what the configuration is from the camera to the ZM box.

The PCA configuration for the IP cameras is all the same except its configuration only allows for a 4:3 view of each IP camera in question.

I have to use an app to see my cameras.

I can see the cameras individually (I have 9 of them), but mostly I connect to my NVR where I can access all of them.

have to use an app to see my cameras.
I am guessing then you utilize one app to see the cameras from the NVR?

I left all of the default ports in place for my HD IP cameras (Ubiquiti and Grandstream).  Best test for your unique ports is to utilize a desktop/laptop on the same network and see if it'll work before trying your IPhone.

Personally here for the individual cameras I figure out what I need to do using a browser and put that link in for each camera.  I have a variety of IP cameras and they are all a bit different.  So each configuration from the cameras to ZoneMinder (http://zoneminder.com) (http://zoneminder.com) (http://zoneminder.com) (like your NVR?)  is a bit unique other than the analog cameras which are all the same.

The set up for Snaplink is really just utilizing a web link/browser to view the cameras.  Here its easier for me to run one mobile application which talks directly to the ZM box (NVR) and run Snaplink separately (no Snaplink cam views outside of my network).  Inside the network I do not utilize my mobile phone but rather just tablets running Snaplink and those have the camera views via one link but different for each camera.

That said I did test an RTSP link via the WAN to my HD camera and it did work using VLC.  The OmniTouch 5.7e's a a bit similiar but different the way they connect to the IP cameras.  The configuration is the same browser link but its a one time in PCA configuration uploaded to the panel.    You see the link though in a box rather than a separate browser in Snaplink.

I wrote a bunch but wasn't much help.
