Barn Light Wireless options

Hi,

I have a barn that is no more than a 100' from my house, there is a flood light on the barn that I would like to set up with a motion sensor, but also have the ability to turn it on/off via phone app. Is there anything out there that would allow me to do this?

Thanks,
Ray

RadioRa 2 has worked really well for me. I think the maximum distance is like 30ft though or something of that sort. Is it possible at all to run wire a little closer to it? 100ft is going to be a bit hard with wireless.

Assuming the distance constraint could be resolved, what would be the minimum RadioRa 2 equipment list to meet the OP requirements?

UPB works well here in a similar situation. I use an Elk security/automation system to control the UPB lighting remotely.

Many people don't like Insteon for whatever reason, but I use it and it would have no problem with the 100' distance. It is both PLC and RF.

As a technology, UPB has no problem with even 1000'
If you don't want lots of home automation, this box is a good way to control it with a phone (and Z-wave also)

If you have Wi-Fi coverage in your barn, lots of bulbs and switches work with that, and the advantage there is your phone apps work to control it without any bridge. You can get Sonoff Basic wirein modules for cheap on Amazon.
