I am setting up a tuner. I have learned all of the numeric IR codes and the enter button, etc.. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make it send a simple 2 digit preset. Under devices the radio tuner presets show an IR data field. Do I need to learn the 2 digits and paste them in? Or should it get the codes from the individual numerics I've already learned?

I can't get my system to learn 01 or 12. Only one number at a time. So I'm a bit confused.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Sam,

I've pulled my hair out a few times trying to make things like this work. Then I discovered RemoteCentral.com. It contains a library of all kinds of Pronto configurations (including IR). It takes a little digging, but you can find a ton of stuff. Some other soul may have figured out how to program a two digit IR sequence on the pronto that you can easily transfer to Premise (they use the same IR coding mechanism).

Good Luck,

I have tried that. Been going there for years. They only had one file for my particular tuner, a Teac T-R670. Unfortunately it was not very complete for all of the standard codes, let alone two digit stuff.

What surprises me is that Premise does not understand that all of the single digit codes I've put in, that do work correctly when I test them, aren't what it should use. It seems logical since it handles media so well :) I'd love to be able to say "use digit 1 and 2 for
this preset" and it would work.

Well, I'll try to capture 2 digits and see where it leads.

Thanks again.
Sam
