Help with GE Concord 4 system?

Well, the nomenclature in the HA system reports may be non-standard, but the codes (13.3, 18.5, 18.6) are right out of the Concord4 manual.   I've got a query in to the tech that programmed the system initially, so I might find out something there.   Easy enough to modify the HA interface to...

Help with GE Concord 4 system?

I don't see much traffic about these systems on this site.  If anyone knows a better website for these products, please let me know.   On to the question(s):   My Concord4 is connected to my home automation system via RS-232 and their automation module.  Whenever I arm or disarm the panel I get...

Whole Home Video Distribution - HELP!

Look into Roomie Remote.  That's the app you'll run on your phone.  Then you just need to see what matrix switches it supports, or you can make work with it.   There's lots of gotchas involved with trying to run HDMI w/ surround sound through an HDMI switch to locations with different audio...

    HDMI Distribution: Different HDTV Resolutions

If you really need to distribute to multiple devices with different resolutions, you won't be able to use HDMI (or HDBaseT).  You might need to consider something like Video Storm (http://www.video-storm.com/proddetail.asp?prod=VRX010).  But I don't think their current products do UHD.   Why do...

Anyone tried one of those Aerogarden LED automatic growers?

We've used the regular (florescent) Aerogarden. Once you get it going, it's pretty good for herbs and such, if you like to use them often.   The LED version is brand new.  Don't know anything about it.

    Rechargeable Batteries?

We use the Panasonic eneloop batteries, no complaints.  I also like the La Crosse chargers.  They only do four batteries at a time, but it'll do any number (doesn't have to be pairs), and they have a really nice display showing the charge state.  It's a good way to see if any specific battery is...

    Duplex Receptacle With Integral Relay

You mean one that has a separate low voltage trigger line coming in that actuates the outlet?  My guess is that something like that would be against the NEC, so would not exist.

    Stone house and solar backup

What are you using for central office monitoring or notifications?  Solar power backup won't do you any good if there's no way to trigger an alarm.  In this case, maybe you want to actually trigger an alarm if the power is off long enough.  Or if you can detect that power to the panel is down...

Best low cost route for multiple TVs in house? Cable/Sat?

I don't know of any service which uploads recorded content, from a local tuner, to a cloud server.  Do you?  simple.tv has cloud management of a local tuner with a local disk drive attached, but that's still a $200+ device, not including the USB drive needed.  Aereo was a cloud service, but it...

    Video Distribution Strategies

Good point.  The OP mentioned matrix in his post, but then linked a non-matrix device.  So that's a little confusing.  I think an actual matrix device (like http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=109&cp_id=10914&cs_id=1091403&p_id=10682&seq=1&format=2) does IR zoning, but I can't tell for sure...

    Video Distribution Strategies

It's not a matrix switch, it's a splitter only.  There's only one emitter, so there's only one zone.  But as noted elsewhere, DirecTV has multiple code sets so you can have multiple receivers.  But then you would need a matrix switch, not a splitter.

    Video Distribution Strategies

Read the fine print on the product you linked.  It includes an IR receiver for each remote location and an IR transmitter for the head end.  You just use your regular IR remote to change channels.

    Foscam 8910 w/ Elk M1G

The M1EXP doesn't do http protocol.  It does telnet protocol.  You're not going to get it to generate a valid http request no matter what you do, so you probably ought to figure out what your Plan B is.
