Premise Announcing George Home Automation (GHA for short)

Hi Sam!!!!   Hope you and your family are doing well. Yes it is Windows-based.  What do you use to control your Zwave?  The USB dongle?  What model Russound are you using?  I may be able to swing a couple of drivers for you.  The device model for lighting controllers I built is pretty flexible...

    Premise Alexa control of Premise

Anybody interested in getting Amazon Echo (Alexa) control of Premise?  I've got it working and doing the following:   Playing media (my biggest reason to do it)   Alexa, Ask Premise to play playlist hanging out mix in the living room Alexa, Ask Premise to play something by Michael Jackson in the...

Premise Premise Universal Devices ISY-994i integration

I'm pretty sure I'm up to speed with ISY.  I've been a developer on the platform for several years.   Premise was (and still is) way ahead of the other HA platforms with regard to media management.   If you haven't looked at it, you really should.   It's pretty cool.

Premise Premise Universal Devices ISY-994i integration

The driver installs on a PC that has network access to both the ISY and the Premise Server.   An XDO needs to be imported into Premise to create all of the ISY devices classes.  The driver itself uses the SOAP Web Services interface built into the ISY, and does not depend on any ISY...

Premise Making Builder work with Windows 10

So, I took the plunge and loaded Windows 10 last night.  FYI, works great as a desktop OS, I'm not quite there yet as a tablet OS.  I thought 8.1 was better as a tablet OS.  Anyway, Builder started fine, but it wouldn't connect to my production Premise Server.  It went through the motions, even...

Premise New version of PremiseMetro available in the Windows Store

The only "restriction" I can see is the supported language (English). Could that be it?  Another possibility is that your machine thinks it's already installed. tap on the Account tab in the store app, and then tap on My Apps. That should list all the apps associated with your account.

Premise New version of PremiseMetro available in the Windows Store

I didn't knowingly restrict the region, but I wouldn't expect Canada to be restricted in any way. Unfortunately, the only way to install it is through the windows store.

Premise New version of PremiseMetro available in the Windows Store

That is really weird. I just checked on a surface pro 3 not associated with my windows ID and it does show up in the store. I wonder if I inadvertently restricted something in the hardware prerequisites. I need to get home later and check that.

http://apps.microsoft.com/windows/en-us/app/premisemetro/6c65784e-a2bc-4512-8ced-b93bdd655ed3 It's still there. You wont see it from the phone appstore app.

    Premise C# SubscribeToProperty - VS2013 - "System.InvalidCastException was unhandled"

Hi Nigel, This does work. I use it all the time. Which statement is throwing the exception? I assume you are successfully connecting to premise, but if not you may get weird behavior. You also need to do some tweaking to the executable to disable DEP (there's a post on doing that), and...
