OK, my Comcast email is working, but it takes a good 5-8 minutes for the e-mail to come in after pressing the test button.  Why so slow?

I used to have an entry that called my home number when a burglar alarm was tripped.  Long removed that from my system.   Now, twice in the last month the line the ELK is attached to has called my home number for no apparent reason.  Looked at logs, no corresponding entry.  No entries at all...

When I flip the door open on my keypad, sometimes it 'reboots'.....checked for loose wiring....everything looks good.  doesn't do it all the time.....Any ideas?

Yea, mine just dropped out.  Had to change port and add email/PW in the secure login box to get it to work.

Mine wouldn't load, says it needs DotNet 2.0. Win 8 has 4.5 by default and is not backward compatible with 2.0. Did you load 3.5 (which is backward compatible with 2.0)? John

ElkRP2 is updated to version 2.0.16. I dowloaded and installed, works. Can't find any release notes so I am not sure what was updated. I suspect M1 Cloud has had some work. John

Thanks everybody for the input. I think I will leave my 120v system alone and just put some 2 wire units up and connect to the M1G. Also going to talk to local building inspector about fire dectors codes for this area. Thanks again, John

Got it. So the heavy gauge copper won't be a problem for the system when 120 is disconnected? The added feature is the supervisory aspect - signal to M1 if power loss or system trouble. Thanks, John

Wow, why do the even make them then? I came darn close to just installing a relay to do the hookup...... So if I use existing wiring wouldn't the voltage drop be way too much for the 12 ga copper and 12V supplied by the panel?
