It's not often that I post to these forums anymore but perhaps this post will make up for that a little bit. Sparkfun just posted their weekly new products video and I noticed that they have a 30amp Current Sensor for only $9.95 which I think you guys would get a bunch of use from. It opens up so you can easily attach it to your cables for power monitoring. It also has a nice little stereo plug already on a short cable.
