Anyone tried the walabot?

I haven't tried it, but some of the 1-star and 2-star reviews on Amazon leave me skeptical about how well it works.

I saw this commercial just the other day and was wondering the same thing (how well it worked).  RAL gives a good caution mentioning the Amazon reviews.  Also noted that this is just for an Android (which is odd because most companies integrate the iPhone first it seems).

I bought the Walabot DIY Pack last year and so far it's been just okay. I needed to find studs in the garage where I have 1/2" drywall installed over 1/2" OSB. My somewhat expensive stud finder was only detecting about one out of every five studs so I gave the Walabot a try. It found every stud and wire, but it also had a few false positives along the way. One annoyance I have with it is that you have to constantly calibrate it. The process is simple and only takes a minute, but it does slow you down if you are looking for studs on a long wall.
 
Sometime in the near future, I'm going to try to find floor joists under 3/4" hardwood and 3/4" sub-flooring. If it works, then I'll give this thing a thumbs up.
