Door Open Warning

This is for an application where there is no access to an alarm system or other HA controller hardware.

I need an 'alarm' that will go off if a door is open for more than a minute or two. It needs to be something I can buy off the shelf and 'attach' to a door. Is there such a beast?

When you say alarm going off, do you mean a loud sound generated by this device?

When you say attach I assume that you mean portable or easily movable from door to door.

I haven't seen that but I have used lots and lots of these or similar models. They require a door contact and power and have to be hardwired. You could make a portable version with a plug in transformer and an electrical box or wiremold box. It wouldn't be perfectly clean but it would work. This model only goes to 60 seconds so you may have to use on of the other models on the site.

It doesn't need to be loud but it needs to remind them it isn't OK A client of mine has a temperature/humidity controlled room and it is very important that it stay that way. Signs aren't cutting it as they still occasionally forget or prop the door open (according to our data logging they leave the doors open). I can get power to the door and do whatever I like but there isn't really an alarm option.

Those are actually exactly what I'm looking for (the right price point ) Thanks I was thinking security, not freezers. Duh
