I didn't find any of the replies here "offensive" at all. Several pointed at the fact that their publication IS perceived as relatively high end--equipment and end result oriented, not true DIYer like most of us who inhabit this and similar boards.
While we're not adverse to buying an Elk package or Russound or other "packaged" technology, we're more into the putting it all together, talking about installation issues and work arounds, etc, as well as doing down and dirty modifications...err.. non supported utilization of equipment
. There's very little in the way of that for public consumption--hence the creation of COCOONTECH and other DIY boards. If EH or other publications would include a section or 2 about installs (shoot, even high end installs) each month, I think more of us would be inclined to subscribe.
