Well here is something interesting. Android includes an SIP stack. This means any application, including HStouch, can include the SIP functions without having to manage the major stuff.

All that would be needed is to setup an SIP server in house. That's just another VM added to the list of VM"s on your server right? But it should work and the ability for any app to include the SIP functions means HStouch should be able to utilize in within its interface correct? Not sure how that effects video but it should allow room to room intercom.

Just to follow up on this thread, we now have two Sonos drivers. One uses the Sonos as a passive player driven by our standard media architecture, and a new one that has just been released in the latest betas that is a native Sonos driver for folks who mainly want to use the Sonos as it's own device but interact with it via CQC:
