Keypad missing?

Tonight after almost a year of no issues, I heard my Elk annouce that Keypad 1 module is missing. Sure enough when I check the keypad the backlight is on but the display is blank and appears unresponsive. Note the upstairs keypad was still working correctly and the RF module was still fine.

I have my keypads and RF module connected via an M1-DBH.

To get the keypad to respond again I had to unplug just that keypad from the M1-DBH and then plug it back in. However it went missing again after 10 minutes. So this time I try reseting the M1 system board, however the keypad is still unresponsive after the restart. So unplug it and plug it back in and it starts working again. It has been about an hour and no further issues.

Any ideas on what I should check? Nothing in the Elk system has been touched in many months.

Could be a suspect RJ-45 or splice on the data lines, even a cable stapled slightly too tight and thermal expansion under the staple causing a cold-flow short within the cable.

Same suggestion, I'd remove the DBH or RJ-45's out of the equation first.
