U.S. headlight laws are quite outdated. Because the laws are so primitive, laser headlights are not allowed in the U.S., only Europe. The European laws allow adaptive matrix headlights that stop oncoming glare. In the U.S. the only requirement is that headlights have a high-low switch.

Love the PDLS+ headlights in my Cayenne.  LED, self-leveling, swiveling and speed sensing.  And there's cornering lamps for turns.
