Receiver for use with HDMI over CAT6 Extender

I am looking for an A/V receiver that has enough power and a good enough HDMI chipset to work with an HDMI over CAT5/6 extender that I have in place. I had a sage HD200, however that died and the HD300 that I replaced it with doesn't work well w/ the extender - the HDMI port seems a bit under powered compared to the HD200.

I am using an extender that is like this model:
http://www.milestek.com/p-16186-hdmi-over-dual-cat6-passive-wall-plate-set.aspx
If you note at the bottom, it essentially says this extender isn't tested with receivers and will break them.

I want to add a receiver because:
(1) I believe the kind that do overlays, etc reprocess the signal and have a better chance of working with an extender.
(2) I want to add a Roku into the mix and switch between the two.
(3) I am wired for 5.1 in that room, even though I haven't added it yet.

Any suggestions, or anyone running a combo of receiver HDMI extender?

I have a receiver and an extender sitting 3ft from me right now, but I haven't yet installed them - I sure hope they do work!
