That is not suppose to happen but it is not beyond what could happen. You could unsolder the one on the boards and replace it with one of the ones you tested or you could apply some correction in the software you use.
Eric, I'm pretty ham fisted with the whole soldering thing. Also the tip on my $10 radio shack iron is pretty big. I was thinking about trying it though.
I'm with the guy talking about soldering the hub. Man those are teeny components
