good point. There are a few people trying it now - but they are all using the component capture. Even if it worked with HDMI, the concern of HDCP keeps them from investing time on it.

You are correct. I guess if you can set it up in such a way who cares about using component? If you store all the computers and STB's in a closet a few extra cables isn't really going to kill you.
