Powerline Interface Module Pulseworx vs HAI

Thanks for the info about the difference between the two units. Looks like I'll be fine with a standard HAI PIM.

Powerline Interface Module Pulseworx vs HAI

I see he solved his problem, which is good. But when I check the output of my APC UPS, it's clean. It more or less just monitors, filters, and passes the line voltage through, unless it detects a spike, undervoltage, or loss of utility power. In that case, the electronics kicks in and it...

    More LED bulb options

Just having a rotten few days. Things build up and get to me every once in a while... and this time it was technology that put me over the edge. Sorry.

    More LED bulb options

You hit the nail on the head. NICHE market. Open fixtures only. LED's are now very popular with merchandise displays. A row of LED's is manufactured along a custom length of aluminum flat bar. Can't run a row of LED's without the aluminum bar as a heatsink. And when you look at the...

Powerline Interface Module Pulseworx vs HAI

Still, anyone know the real difference between a Pulseworx PIM and an HAI PIM? I may have to answer my own question by buying a Pulseworx and opening it up and doing a comparison. My guess is that I'll see the same integrated chip inside.

Powerline Interface Module Pulseworx vs HAI

I don't know what model surge suppressor you have... but from my 6 years experience with uninterruptable power supplies, I can tell you that you get what you pay for. My UPS costs over $1300. If you paid less than $200 for a Leviton service entrance suppressor, you ain't getting anything more...

Powerline Interface Module Pulseworx vs HAI

Have you seen your line voltage on an oscilloscope? I have a 3000 watt SMART-UPS uninterruptable power supply that I use for everything sensitive like computers, plasma T.V., and other electronics.... however my PIM is not connected to it.... I don't think the UPB signals can travel over the...

Powerline Interface Module Pulseworx vs HAI

I have the phase buffer/conditioner installed, or whatever you call it..... if that makes any difference, I don't know. But I've never experienced any problems with my HAI PIM unit. I also have all my zones installed with the pull up resistors neatly soldered in place and corresponding setting...

Powerline Interface Module Pulseworx vs HAI

Is there any good reason to spend 2X the money on a Pulseworx powerline interface module vs the cheaper HAI version? Are they the same thing, minus the extra LED status? I need an extra PIM for programming only via Upstart... getting tired of running to the basement with the laptop. Brian

    HAI timer programming

Thank you... so clear when someone shows you how the flags behave. I figured out the difference between 0 and end of timer OFF for a flag the hard way - uploading test programs 10 times before I realized the difference. That was 2 years ago, and I since forgot! I always wished HAI had just...

    HAI timer programming

Can anyone show me how to accomplish the following code in HAI OmniProII? I want to setup a timer so that the light in the bedroom goes off after 10 minutes of no motion Thanks, I would appreciate it. IF bedroom_motion NOT SECURE THEN idle_time = 0 ENDIF IF bedroom_light EQUAL TO ON AND...
