Any Omnitouch Pro software on custom touchscreen users out there?

Resurrecting this post to see if there are any users out there & what their feedback is. I'm hoping the software has better reviews that the 5.7e touchscreens has had in the past couple of years post-Leviton acquisition.

Your thoughts on the Leviton purchase of HAI 2.5 years in

i'm starting to accept that UPB is the victor in the battle of lighting. I'll make the switch once they start making the push button without the rubber switches.

Your thoughts on the Leviton purchase of HAI 2.5 years in

At the time when i was doing my research, insteon was the better product & i'd read about some work arounds. I accepted that in the worst case, lighting would be the one thing that wasn't integrated. That's problem with planning a HA system for new construction. By the time the construction is...

Your thoughts on the Leviton purchase of HAI 2.5 years in

This is very depressing. We started building our home 4 years ago, and everything was based around HAI, except for the lighting, for which we used Insteon. I even have a $500 credit with Home Controls!! I was super excited to have OPII touch screens around the house to control audio, drapes...

Haiku Rainforest EAGLE energy gateway integration

Any updates on this? I'm currently exploring various home controller systems and so far I'm leaning towards HAI (omnitouch). It would be awesome it could be accessed through the touchscreen interface.

Somfy Sonesse 30 ST30 IWT RS485 + HAI OmniPro II (Part 2; The Guide)

After further research, I stumbled upon Slats & Pleats in NJ, and they have a lot of expertise combining ST motors with Hunter Douglas products. Paul was able to answer all my questions about operating the Silhouette with the ST30. Per his advice, I can order a manual blind and install all the...

Somfy Sonesse 30 ST30 IWT RS485 + HAI OmniPro II (Part 2; The Guide)

So I've figured out all the parts I require to make the silhouette shades work, but I'm still hitting some obstacles. I was planning on buying the ST30 RS485 motor & also the Silhouette crown & drive kit (http://www.automated...ane-pid413.html). The obstacle is, where do I get the 4" quartet...

Somfy Sonesse 30 ST30 IWT RS485 + HAI OmniPro II (Part 2; The Guide)

Relleum, bless you! Your write up has answered more of my questions than any of the technicians ever could. I do still have one more question if you have a moment... We're new construction and are finishing up the drywall. We're planning on installing the ST-30 RS-485 silhouette blind in our...

Channel Vision new PTZ cameras, any feedback or suggested altneratives?

I'm hoping to find the same, and ideally one that is compatible with smartphone apps. I still don't understand why the Vivotek NVR isn't compatible with apps. Tech support told me I either build my own PC based system & use a 3rd party app or I can run their NVR, but not both.

Channel Vision new PTZ cameras, any feedback or suggested altneratives?

I'm really glad you mentioned the power issue. In case I'm unable to run 110V power to the cameras (worst case scenario), what would you recommend? Thanks for this info, it's hard to find this kind of honest truth.

Channel Vision new PTZ cameras, any feedback or suggested altneratives?

After your comments & some more reading, I talked myself out of PTZ. If we have 3 cameras in the front & one in the back, I don't think I'd need the functionality and could do better for the price. After some more research I found the Vivotek IP8352. It seems to have the best night vision of all...

Controlling Somfy drapes with RF vs RS485

Thanks for all your feedback! With part numbers in hand, I think I'm going to check out the websites you mentioned & try to build it myself, and not use the reseller. As you said, he's too inexperienced at this point.

Channel Vision new PTZ cameras, any feedback or suggested altneratives?

This is great feedback. I was having a tough time finding much info on Channel Vision, I thought it might have to do with limited distribution. Sounds like an IR camera with some extra IR illuminators would be the best bet. I'll definitely look at Axis & Mobotix. We're wiring it tomorrow so I...

Channel Vision new PTZ cameras, any feedback or suggested altneratives?

I thought going with something that wasn't IR would be better given the bug issue. Also, with the PTZ, it would be pre-set to record a specific area and I'd use an app to move it. What would be your first choice for a PTZ? how about for a IP home surveillance camera?

Channel Vision new PTZ cameras, any feedback or suggested altneratives?

We're looking to put 3 security cameras at the front of our house, connected to a NVR. One camera on each corner to catch people coming up the driveway (we have a driveway both sides of the property), and one over the door to catch people coming up the path. Those are our 3 choke points. My...
