    Amazon Echo to HA Controllers

This is exactly why we're opening up the API. We'll try to provide all the core automation-related voice grammars, but anyone can build a plugin to add their own.

    Amazon Echo to HA Controllers

I'm curious to see how flexible the Echo's upcoming local API will be.

    Amazon Echo to HA Controllers

Interestingly, Google Home will not have an API to start, they want to control the experience.  Funny, we started that way and are now about to open an plugin API for others to create native voice commands with the Kinect. Now that stick PCs are inexpensive and used Kinects are $30, and...

    New Z-wave controller

There is a first party SDK, and the public SDK. The first party SDK has nice features like local discovery.      I'd be happy about chatting with you about making CastleOS your voice provider...

Good ways to monitor amount of waste water produced by reverse osmosis filter?

Just measure the amount of water flow being used. RO membranes have known waste flow rates that can be looked up depending on the membrane you have. If you know what you're using, you know what's going down the drain as waste byproducts.

    Which Vera controller to buy?

He probably hasn't come back because he asked the same question on reddit and got more responses. The community on reddit is huge (much larger than CT) and growing rapidly. https://www.reddit.com/r/homeautomation/comments/3nd99q/which_vera_controller_should_i_buy/

    Insteon in Europe

Well, the ISY does INSTEON better than INSTEON. They deserve a lot of props for that. It's the gold standard for INSTEON so that's why people want to use it.

You can still get the older hub in the UK that supports external controllers without the cloud link:

Trying to decide between ISY, Castleos and CQC

Sorry, that's just not true. There are literally scholarly articles on this... It's easy to say when the mouse is your navigator, but touch is a different animal.  What is true is often the lines are blurred, but there is a paradigm change happening...

Trying to decide between ISY, Castleos and CQC

Well, like was asked, what's better than that? Contextual awareness in the UI removes the need for that. Companies like Savant take it to the next level with a photo-based GUI. Want to turn on that lamp? Tap the lamp in the picture you took of your living room. (For the record, I'm not sure...
