You can use an old iPhone in an on wall mount to access an automation system (like myServer).  Then you can control not just the essentia, but the entire automation system (whatever the automation system is configured for).  There are POE Cat to Lighting adapters available to power it up.

As others have suggested, the ELK M1 Gold is the best replacement for an HAI system.  The wiring / sensors should be directly reusable.  So the swap should only be a few hours plus programming.  The Elk, can do some rudimentary automation programming.  But many use a dedicated automation...

Consider putting an expansion module on the ELK bus to you can monitor each individually.

i would replace the HAI panel with an ELK.  And wire that into a good automation control system.  Use the automation system's touchpanel and hide the ugly ELK keypad.  Only one keypad is required for the ELK. You should be able to reuse all sensors and wiring with the ELK. Move the HAI logic...
