Ouch, thats a shame. I am sure that makes it much harder to implement stuff when the library has been closed.
I wonder how many people are affected that didn't move to another platform.
Hey BraveSirRobbin! Good to see you are still creating!
You got me thinking about the movable bed I made for my RV...
It is motorized but I always wanted to put position in the myServer control system...
That way graphically myServer (and now our SmartRemote) can display real time position of...
Hi Electron - good to see cocoontech is also still around!! I see some familiar names are still active. Nice!
update: Allonis just developed an integration with the Harmony Hub. So, now any myServer user interface (including the SmartRemote) can control any Hub controlled device or...
Hi, just received my "15 year" Cocoontech anniversary notification...has it really been that long?
Anyway, here is what's new. Allonis has been developing a handheld remote control for all media and control activities.
Thought some of you might have interest...
You can use an old iPhone in an on wall mount to access an automation system (like myServer). Then you can control not just the essentia, but the entire automation system (whatever the automation system is configured for). There are POE Cat to Lighting adapters available to power it up.
Hi BSR!!!! long time!
the "smart phone support"....with any version of myServer, that's just a different web template on the same system to support. If you are going back to MainLobby days, that was originally a Flash client that didn't have much phone support. But later MLServer also...
The ELK and Sonos are fully integrated with both myServer5 and 6. And...you can integrate homeseer with myServer too if HS is supporting devices that myServer 6 today is not supporting.
Oh, and to clarify, Dave and I both worked with Cinemar, but Allonis's myServer 5 was a complete rewrite...
myServer has been around and working well for several years. Mostly in commercial projects. There are many Homeseer users using myServer 5 now.
The SmartRemote exists. I have it in my hand right now. It will ship a month after the Kickstarter closes to folks that invest. Much more baked...
some might not realize that Allonis's myServer can front end (or replace) HomeSeer and / or HomeAssistant. The best user interface tools of both.
There will be a handheld touchscreen remote control on Kickstarter soon that will be the least expensive way to purchase it (and the SmartRemote)...
As others have suggested, the ELK M1 Gold is the best replacement for an HAI system. The wiring / sensors should be directly reusable. So the swap should only be a few hours plus programming. The Elk, can do some rudimentary automation programming. But many use a dedicated automation...
i would replace the HAI panel with an ELK. And wire that into a good automation control system. Use the automation system's touchpanel and hide the ugly ELK keypad. Only one keypad is required for the ELK.
You should be able to reuse all sensors and wiring with the ELK.
Move the HAI logic...
Hi SpAsTiCnErD!
It's been a while since I have been online on Cocoontech.
Did you end up going with an automation controller?
How has your experience gone?
I see you have only made one post here. Hopefully you are still active with Home Automation!
Looking forward to hearing from you.
