    Honeywell Zwave tstat

So played around some more and am finding something really wierd.   When i send commands via the elk to the tstat eg a rule, the thermostat just drops to 50 F and cannot be controlled anymore unless i go ahead and make a change at the thermostat.  Using ekeypad to check if ELK is showing the...

    Honeywell Zwave tstat

Changed the thermostat to display farenheit and the temp is changing correctly via elk and ekeypad. This is good news   Bad news is WAF is going REALLY down  . I'm at a loss to understand if it's the elk panel or the honeywell tstat that's having the issue with celsius.   Any tips ?

    Honeywell Zwave tstat

Did a little more searching on the internets and came across a post on CT where someone mentioned that ELK cannot handle celsius temp accurately , maybe that's my issue - I will configure to use farenheit and see if that fixes the issue. Here's the post...

a little help connecting M1XSLZW to elk m1g?

yes that's correct . ELK recommends that there are no more than 2 homerun devices on that bus which i believe in your case is a non issue since you have only one keypad.

    Honeywell Zwave tstat

hmmm, that could be what the issue is altough it doesn't explain why i can't increase/decrease from ekyepad the temp once it goes to 10.   Can send an email to ekeypad support or if Jason can chime on here , that would be great :)

    Rule validation

Hello Rule Gurus    I'm trying to setup a rule that will turn off the thermostat if the patio door is open for more than 5 minutes. Would appreciate if someone could help validate the logic as the rule doesnt seem to be firing. I've tried ensure that the logic handles cases where the door...

a little help connecting M1XSLZW to elk m1g?

AHRENO   Not sure if you were able to resolve - The keypad that you have now is connected to the data bus on the elk panel which is where you'll need to hook up the m1xslzw. Like mentioned above you can use either standard 4 conductor alarm wire or cat cable to hook it up to the panel on the...

    Honeywell Zwave tstat

Just hooked up the zwave devices to my elk m1 using the leviton vrcop and m1xzlw interface.    Turning on, off, controlling the fan all work ok but when changing the setpoint on the tstat via the ekeypad application (for eg from 21 to 22 celsius), for some reason the thermostat will display 10...

elk m1 databus hub retrofit issues

Just to close this off - it turns out that DBHR was defective. I had Larry from Renpark Security pay a visit who helped straighten out everything. He confirmed that the DBHR was not sending data signals for some reason and hooked all up the components by daisy chaining them and everything is now...
