1U rack mount servers are usually noisy beasts. Looking at the 4 small fans at the back, this one is probably no exception. Not sure suitable it would be for home use.

Mine is mounted on the foundation, about 2' off the ground. It's very easy to clear the snow after a storm. And I have only twice had to clear the snow in front because it was piling up too high.
