    Girder 5 connection to M1

Without the ability to see your log files, I will not be able to determine the problem you are having, nor will I be able to help future users. As 123 can attest, I have spent a lot of time working on this plug-in. If there is a problem, I would like to understand what the problem is and...

Netremote/Girdir and the new Elk Plugin

Brad, If you load up the Flatstyle CCF you should be able to arm/disarm the system from the Security screen. Also in the NetRemote\luascript\DM folder, there is a Security.lua file. You can edit it to also include zone information on the Security screen. In the Security.lua file, find local...

Need tips for detecting AC power failure

123, I am at the latest firmware for the Elk. I just went to the closet and yanked the power supply for the Elk from the outlet. Takes about 10 seconds for the Elk to broadcast the SS command, but yes it does send it without being polled. Plugged it back in and took a couple of seconds to...

Need tips for detecting AC power failure

123, The Elk driver I developed for Girder is capable of notifying Girder within a few seconds that the Elk has lost AC power via the SS command. When the Elk loses power the SS message is sent with that flag shown as Trouble, when AC is restored the command is sent shown as Normal.

    Reading and Writing Counter Values

When the value of a counter is changed via Rules, will the new value be sent via the Reply With Counter Value Format (CV) message? If so, it does not seem to be working. If I send a cv message to change the value I do see the CV message with the new value.

    Girder 5 connection to M1

Boomer, As far as I know, there is no password required to connect to the Elk. Do you see any errors in the LUA console window? Have you tried connecting Girder to the Elk without the TS07's connected? I have not upgraded my panel to the latest firmware yet to test. Looks like I need to get...

Can you arm an area even if a zone is violated?

123, I found the same issue when developing the driver for Girder. I choose the path of adding logic to the driver to make sure the system was ready prior to arming. I understand Elk's rational, however for my own peace of mind, I would rather be notified if something was not right rather...

    Some Net Remote clarifications?

I have recently moved my Elk component to the new G5 specs, and it is working fine. There are a few things that I still need to implement, have not done them yet due to lack of hardware, ie thermostats. I also have put together some NetRemote screens that show status and allow arming control...

Status update on my software decision - scale tipping to Cinemar...

I agree with John. I use NetRemote frequently on Windows based PC's and it works wonderfully, however PPC's is another story. This is not the fault of NetRemote or any other PPC/WiFi based application. Once connected to the network my PPC runs NetRemote without any issues as well, but it...
